The following is the result of exploring digital media, mostly through corrupting files and mixing media in all sorts of ways. This is not a curated exhibition, just a collection of interesting findings that I might as well share.

Databending is a technique that consists of manipulating the raw data of a file using a software that is not intended to work with that type of file. This makes it possible to apply a high-pass filter to a video or to edit the image code through text, for example. I've been enjoying the idea of getting to know how the image DNA works through this methodology. By accessing and editing its data through different lens I am able to find patters in glitched results and trace them to their origin.

I see TouchDesigner as the ultimate synesthetic tool. Making apparently different things meet and relate to each other has always interested me. I find making metaphors super useful when expressing myself because of this same principle: apparently unrelated elements can make each other grow in unexpected ways, creating a new kind of understanding where new and clearer ideas can emerge. I also feel the pressure of the vast possibilities of this software and try not to get overwhelmed. I hope I can balance it out so my curiosity can still be triggered by it, heheh.
